Asset Management makes sense for today's institutional and private investors. Your time is money
and your investments should not be left to chance.
Whether you are an individual investor seeking to take advantage of market fluctuations in order to add value to your portfolio
or, whether you are a large institutional investor with funds which need to be efficiently managed, you can benefit greatly
from the appointment of an experienced asset manager.
Diversification, sound risk management, correct investment strategies based on full time, experiences and focused research
data and computer models, among other tools, are available through the appointment of an experienced professional asset company.
Why turn to the Sharelink Asset Management team?
We offer the full range of services. These include Discretionary Portfolio Management and Product Development for both domestic
and international markets.
Our highly qualified Asset Managers have significant experience in all major markets. Our priority is to understand each
client's unique investment needs so that we can develop personalized, well-conceived investment plans based on that individual's
current financial position, investment horizon, risk tolerance as well as future income needs. Our team also appreciates the
need for transparency in all dealings with clients, reporting to them on a regular basis and holding meetings to review strategy
and performance targets. At the same time, our Asset Managers also encourage client questions and feedback.
|
|
 |
|
| Our Mission Statement |
|
Our mission is to perform asset allocation on a relative value basis across the entire spectrum of financial products in such
a manner so as to achieve maximum return, while remaining within our clients' risk requirements.
|
|
| Our Investment Philosophy |
|
As part of the Asset Management process, we aim for effective, risk-aware portfolio construction which will align our
investment convictions with your individual requirements. Thus, when deciding on an investment strategy, we carefully
evaluate any relevant geopolitical events, as well as market conditions at the macro and micro level. Moreover, we
analyse the individual financial instruments considered for investment based on fundamentals. We are aided in our task
by the research reports we receive from reliable sources, both in-house and external. In particular,
the Sharelink Research Department, supports the Asset Managers
with its analysis of the local market.
|
|
| Our Monitoring System |
The Asset Management Department fully appreciates the necessity of having a number of systems and controls in place in order
to ensure that the client's money is being managed efficiently and is protected in line with international standards. One of
these is the Investment Committee which meets on a regular basis to filter the Research recommendations and to set firm
guidelines regarding all major investment decisions including the matching of clients risk profiles to particular products
and strategies. The Sharelink Risk Management Team also has a significant role to play, as it acts as the "watchdog" of the Department
by imposing controls, performing continuous checks and alerting managers to potential problems so as to ensure accuracy at all
levels. Overall, the department follows a disciplined approach involving a number of risk management techniques as shown below:
- Measurement of Risk vs. Return;
- Allocation of funds to a variety of asset classes;
- Upper Bounds (for specific stock and sector);
- Times Index Weighting Limits;
- Large Caps Vs Small Caps Portfolio Limits;
- Equity and Portfolio Liquidity Limits;
- Limits based on Portfolio Fundamentals (P/E, P/BV, Dividend yield) and Quantitative Data (Beta, standard deviation, number of stocks held);
- Limits based on Value at Risk Calculations.
All the above monitoring rules are applied frequently and the monitoring report, which is the result of our own sophisticated
monitoring model, is sent to the Asset Managers.
In addition, the Risk Management Department also reports on all portfolios to the Executive Committee and BOD and strict Chinese walls are
implemented on all levels throughout our organisation. Finally, in order to ensure impartiality, we insist on complete
segregation between client's portfolios and own book.

The Department's institutional clients include Approved Investment Companies, Corporations, Provident Funds, Pension Funds, as well as high net worth individuals. Management style and investment parameters will differ for each category in accordance with the applicable rules and regulations. Moreover, the strategy is aligned to the profile of each client.
|
|
| Retail Customers |
For retail customers, the Department currently develops a variety of regional and international structured portfolios.
Their aim is to achieve above average risk adjusted returns. They are managed in accordance with Modern Portfolio Theory, using optimisation models and technical filters, which are subject to certain fundamental, quantitative and liquidity constraints. Their portfolios may include investments in a variety of financial instruments including stocks, fixed income securities, commodities, derivatives, currency baskets, and cash.
