Our mission is to identify investment opportunities which can be utilised by both our clients and our Group. We strive to produce analysis reports that can be held to international standards and we are always ready to accept critique on our output.
The department provides the following services:
- Equity Analysis. Our research and analysis department covers major companies listed on CSE offering analysis reports with position designation (i.e. buy, sell, overweight) and price targets;
- Macro-economic Analysis. Analysis of Cyprus macro-economic indicators and trends putting into perspective how these may affect company specific valuations, industry sectors and the capital market
- Company Valuations. On clients’ requests our research and analysis departments will prepare for a fee independent valuation reports on non-listed companies and projects.

We are predominantly a fundamental research driven organization. Our department covers CSE Main Market companies, which represent over 75% of CSE’s market capitalisation.
When valuing a company, its financial statements, prospectuses, interim reports, press releases and other financial reports are thoroughly analysed. Interviews are conducted with company executive managers to assess company strategy, and evaluate management use of economic resources. Interactive research methodology allows for well-rounded company assessment (value and future market position). By using all the information collected and employing modern valuation techniques, department is in a position to identify fundamentally sound investment opportunities.
To complement its fundamental analysis, the Department takes into account technical analysis which, in its simplest form, studies past price records and identifies trends and cycles. The work performed by our technical analyst provides invaluable insight into market psychology and assists in investment timing decisions.

Understanding the fundamentals is just part of the process; communicating this understanding is equally important. For this reason, an important part of our job is the efficient, effective and timely communication of our analysis to our consultants and our clients.
Each year the Research Department publishes over 250 research reports (short and long).
Below we include the types of reports published by our department:
- Daily Reports
These are released prior to the opening of the CSE trading session and include a brief market commentary, a Technical Analysis section and an update on company news and recommendations.

A more detailed weekly version of the daily reports, released every Monday morning. They contain our view of the equity market over the previous week and our outlook for the week ahead.
